Art Club

fn5

This year Out of the Box has added an Art Club once a month and free of charge to our year long students. The projects are community based and our students will learn new skills while taking their artistic gifts to share, create joy, and assist others.

Creating an artistic scarecrow for Alpharetta Scarecrow walk, making items for nursing homes, battered women and children shelters, homeless shelters, children’s hospitals and more are on their agenda this year. Students will create pieces in clay, painting, and simply creating gifts to give back to the community.

Art Club will be under the direction of Ms. Libby. Ms. Libby has been with OOTB since we opened. She is a teacher that students always ask for! She is really just a child at heart and full of fun. She has taught classes in mixed media art, art history, done mission work at home and abroad. She has a B.F.A. concentrated in printmaking and photography with a minor in Art history. In addition to her work at OOTB she also exhibits her work as well as does food photography. Ms. Libby lives in the Roswell area with her husband, she has 3 sons and 2 grandchildren that she loves to also create art work with. OOTB is blessed to have Ms. Libby’s smile coming through our doors and we are excited for the blessing she will bring to her art club.
